Maverick has concocted a special show, ‘The World of Wine’. It’s a convivial, funny show- ideal for animating evening spectacles, galas, grape harvesting fetes and wine evenings - the fairs, tastings and all manner of events linked to the wonderful world of wine and more generally to gastronomy – the appearance and multiplication of bottles, castle divination, predictions of the vine variety, mind reading, and lots more jokes, sketches and unbelievable devilishness, like for example: Maverick is in the process of helping himself to a glass of wine when his mobile phone rings, so, whilst continuing to serve himself, he lets go of the glass and answers the phone, letting the glass float in the air. It’s an hour of laughter and friendliness, of great elegance.
Magic, wine, gastronomy What a programme ! This is a dynamic, festive, convivial wine tasting presentation which is above all comprehensive, during which you discover and learn about wine; how to drink it, how to appreciate it, what it accompanies perfectly, and what to avoid ……. The team : 1 wine expert and 1 Magician The viticulturist and wine : Catherine Comte is a tea master at Chateau Olivier, and also at the chateau at Yquem, but she also teaches people about wine and wine tasting. Although highly qualified, Catherine keeps her presentations simple, descriptive and convivial. She tastes and analyses different wines with and for you, analysing colour, nose, taste; and she engages you with anecdotes and tasting tips along the way. The magician and magic : Maverick is a magician of repute, but he is equally a wine connoisseur. He is, in particular, the founder of the Vincent Bacchus circle at Marmande. This high class magician adds to the pleasure your taste buds enjoys, with an exciting touch of mystery through incredible tricks with cards and coins. Maverick even uses your glass, pen, cutlery, serviette ……..With him, everything is magic. An evening of wine : Alongside your caterer or restaurateur, we will devise a meal, from aperitif to dessert, which combines dishes and wines. Catherine Comte presents the subtle art of wine tasting in an exciting way; nose, colour, taste ……. opening a door into the incredible world of wine. Each bottle of wine is analysed unpretentiously, in a convivial atmosphere.
